Profoundly influenced by Ramana Maharshi he has followed a lifetime of spiritual investigation amidst society, work, responsibility and family. As a consequence Derek is able to convey these timeless teachings to others with inspired meaning as they apply in the experience of everyday life.
Now retired from professional life he lives on the Somerset moors and spends his time leading the Vedantarama community, teaching, writing, guiding seekers and engaging in family life
