Advaita Vedanta Teacher Derek Thorne leads the Vedantarama Advaita Centre and its community. Deeply established in the Vedanta vision he is able to guide from a position of direct insight and authenticity.
Profoundly influenced by Ramana Maharshi he has followed a lifetime of spiritual investigation amidst society, work, responsibility and family. As a consequence Derek is able to convey these timeless teachings to others with inspired meaning as they apply in the experience of everyday life.
Now retired from professional life he lives on the Somerset moors and spends his time leading the Vedantarama community, writing, giving spiritual guidance to seekers and engaging in family life
