Self-Enquiry Meditations
Our meditation practice is Vichara. This is the Self-enquiry form of meditation that reveals the source of peace, purity and steadiness that constitutes our true enduring nature. Earlier forms of meditation seek to promote stillness and overcome distraction. This ability is an important stepping stone in spiritual life. Self-enquiry assumes that ability is already in place. This is not to say that Self-enquiry cannot be done by anybody because it can. If you are attracted to it then that is a powerful indicator in itself. It will have benefit but will be more effective if concentration and steadiness of mind is already in place.
